Position Summary:

The Data Entry Training Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding the accuracy and reliability of operational data that powers Empower’s 503A compounding pharmacy. This role empowers team members through thoughtful training, meaningful feedback, and process clarity—ensuring that every medication is backed by documentation excellence. You’ll be part of a mission-driven organization committed to expanding access to innovative, affordable medications that help people live healthier, happier lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivers comprehensive training programs for pharmacy staff on data entry processes, systems, and accuracy standards critical to patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures real-time data integrity by auditing records and system entries in pharmacy software and guiding corrective action with clarity and consistency.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance, Information Technology, and Operations teams to standardize data entry procedures and implement updates to documentation and workflows.
  • Provides individualized coaching and feedback to staff to strengthen proficiency in documentation, attention to detail, and system usage across diverse functions.
  • Champions a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning, proactively identifying training needs, system challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the workday and frequently use their hands and fingers to handle or feel in order to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The employee is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

  1. Exceptional communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train diverse learners and build confidence in complex systems.
  2. High proficiency in pharmacy management systems, Microsoft Excel, and electronic documentation tools with impeccable attention to detail and organizational discipline.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy operations, medical data entry, training, or quality documentation roles in a regulated healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in healthcare, business, or technical field preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Preferred; Train-the-Trainer Certification Strongly Preferred; Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Preferred.
